#idsIMPACT - Participate with Collaborating Organizations

Make-A-Wish has 61 chapters across the United States. IDS designers should contact their local chapters for information about volunteering time or their services to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The best way to find your local chapter is to visit www.wish.org/local-chapters and search via zip code.

Dwell with Dignity currently has chapters in Dallas and Atlanta.  If an IDS designer or chapter wants to get involved, they can reach out to info@dwellwithdignity.org for more information. There are volunteer opportunities in both cities for individuals as well as groups. IDS is welcome to take on a larger-scale project (i.e., designing and installing a home) if they have the support in Dallas or Atlanta.  Additionally, DwD is always seeking donations of new furniture and art for their projects and for their fundraiser, Thrift Studio.
DwD has plans to expand in other “design hub” cities as funds become available to do so. As of this time, they do not have the ability to manage projects in cities where they don’t have chapters. A significant donation of financial and human resources is necessary for starting chapters and they are always open to discussing what those might be if there are interested parties.
