selling x design® is a benefit offered exclusively to IDS members. Each unit of this correspondence course features a specific area of design, starting with a simple floor plan, then adds elements to complete a well-designed look. As each section is completed, understanding, comprehension and implementation are measured through questions or exercises that provide insight into the new skills that have been acquired.

benefits of becoming certified
Successful completion of the selling x design® course earns the recognition with a certificate designating the graduate as a Certified Home Furnishings Consultant signifying improved knowledge, enhanced credentials, and increased credibility. Graduates are eligible to upgrade their IDS membership to become an IDS Affiliate, which can be the first step on the career path into residential interior design.
